EL DORADO, Ark. (AP) — Union County authorities say a body found in a car submerged in a creek in Norphlet has been identified as that of a woman reported missing in El Dorado.

Sheriff's Deputy Bill Hickman says the Arkansas State Crime Lab has identified the woman as 65-year-old Mary Cross. Hickman told the El Dorado News-Times that the cause of death has not been determined.

Cross was reported missing to El Dorado police on April 23. Police say she was last seen the afternoon of April 22 driving toward Norphlet

Her car with her body inside was found in the creek last Thursday.
