SARATOGA, Ark. (AP) — Human bones that were found during an archeological dig near Saratoga in January 2010 are not those of a Saratoga man who disappeared in 1992.

The Texarkana Gazette reports that the Howard County Sheriff's Department says the remains have been determined to be that of a native American — not those of Robert Lomax.

The 81-year-old Lomax was last seen walking home after eating Thanksgiving dinner with neighbors. Investigators say Lomax was known to carry substantial amounts of cash and believe he was robbed and killed.
