Officials from the Bryant Police Department arrested a man suspected of multiple fraud crimes over the weekend.

Tired, I agree with you. Dabbs did indeed inherit a mess. Anyone else would not have even thought of running for Mayor of that town with all the BS that was going on. But this woman grew tired of it, ran for mayor, got elected and is cleaning house, which has been needing to be done for ages. Now people want to blame her for the mess. Hell, they should give her a crown and declare her a queen. She has had the political gonads that were lacking in the past. As for this phone man, its obvious what happened here. He was a friend of someone at city hall, got the job, got the advance, gave up his share to the "friend" and hauled booty.

Just to be clear...Mayor Dabbs wasn't even elected when this occured...and she fired the Idiot that was involved...she inherited a mess...and is cleaning the crap up a fast as she can...you nonspelling nonspeaking idiots that have decided to convict this woman for doing the right thing need to back off...henley steele and miller are to blame for many of these story's bet they got Justin Barnes on speed dial...their just showin the world what childish idiots they really are...and yes the tickets are going to increase and Bryants gonna become a speed trap again...not because of the mayor but because of the residual good ole boys she hasn't found a reason to fire yet...fox 16 give this town a break...we're workin on it

Just goes to show you idiots elect idiots. I say let him go. Arrest the idiots you elected. Stupidity should be a crime. The elected officials look stupid to me. Another Saline county Poster child for birth control.

This happened in 2010 "but upon further investigation it was discovered that none of the phones were ever installed." Any new phone system would probably require new state of the art wiring and phones. It took them 2 years to figure out they didn't have new phone on their desks and never had a installation guy there. Sounds like Bryant needs to do some house cleaning.

Man something in the news about Bryant everyday...... This town is becoming a joke daily... The budget is going in the hole and we are ordering new Police Cars. Get ready for taxes and tickets to be on the increase in Bryant to solve the money crunch.

I have worked in our family heating and cooling company for nearly 25 years, not one time can I recall myself, or my dad (Owner of Co.) asking for any money up front. It is just not good business practice. For those who do not pay, or refuse to make good a bounced check, there are courts to decide those matters. NEVER give a contractor or small business money up front. The need for money up front means one of two things: Either they are just getting started and have little to no experience, or their business is about to go under. Anyone owning a small business knows that services or goods are delivered BEFORE a profit can be made. The City of Bryant is just as much at fault as is the man who cheated them. Always, always, always check a business' record/references before allowing them to touch anything that has to do with your home and/or money.

Since when does a government agency pay for work before it's done? Usually, people don't get paid until several weeks after the work is completed. Those who have done for for the State or Federal Government know what I am talking about.

What is hilarious is how city of bryant would contract with someone who has been in and out of jail for hot checks and bad business deals for the last 10 years. He has been a con artist for as long as I knew him. He is such an idiot.
