BRYANT, AR - It's scoop, pour, toss and repeat for Bryant city workers as they fill thousands of sandbags, Thursday.
"I'm ready to keep going," said Parks and Rec employee Will Ravering. "Let's keep doing this!"
The sandbags are going fast. Just since Thursday morning the street crew has already filled and given away almost 4,000 sandbags to families in the community."
Using just a few orange cones and a ladder, a makeshift assembly line is the reason Anthony Simpson has a shot at keeping his home dry as the storm moves through the state.
"I'm glad to get anything I can," he said.
On the other side of the city, Simpson finishes what the street crew started by surrounding his house with the sandbags. It's all he can do to save his home of 30 years from Isaac.
"I'd like to have a few more, but beggars can't be choosers," said Simpson. "I appreciate this right here."
Simpson is one of 150 families and counting collecting the free sand bags from the city as the storm sweeps through central Arkansas.
