CONWAY, AR - Monday, managers at Haynes Machine Shop say about eleven thousand dollars went missing from their bank account.
Owner Henry Haynes says he noticed the problem after looking at his account. He discovered 29 checks had dissappeared from his office.
He tells us ten of the checks have already been cashed with payments around $900 and his signature forged. The businessowner of 41 years says the crime is a big inconvenience at the bank.
"We have to go up there each morning and tell them what checks to take and what not to take," said Haynes.
He says the suspects cashed the checks at Centennial Bank.
Fox 16 did contact them today, but were told no one could comment at this time.
"I just hope police or somebody can find out who did it, " said Haynes.
Managers say it is possible an employee or customer stole the checks. But police have not confirmed that information.
