DALLAS, TX -- Thursday, university leaders from both Cotton Bowl schools volunteered at a community service agency in Arlington.

Both men say making an appearance in Texas brings both schools closer to their alumni.

Arkansas chancellor Dave Gearhart says the location reminds people good products come from Northwest Arkansas, like Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.

“There are so many things that make this game special and our alumni are important," said Gearhart

Kansas State President Kirk Schulz says the game is what his fans want to see.

"Dallas is the largest fan base outside of Kansas," said Schulz.
