CABOT, AR - A Cabot man turned himself in yesterday after a felony warrant was issued for his arrest for shooting a dog in the head three times on November 3, 2011.
According to the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office, 46-year-old Anthony Romano was asked tied a lab/mix to a tree and shot it three times at the request of a neighbor. Lt. Jim Kulesa says the dog escaped when Romano went to get a different gun and was taken to a vet by another neighbor.
Romano told authorities the dog growled at him and was a danger to the neighborhood.
The dog survived the shooting.
