Caddo Valley, AR - The City of Caddo Valley faces another lawsuit from a small business owner in their own town.

Owner of the Caddo Valley Landing, Frank Rippeto, claims the city dragged his name and business through the mud during a public city council meeting last year.

The city was served with the papers during the last council meeting.

According to the lawsuit, which names the city, its mayor and multiple employees and council members, discussion occurred over whether the city should pay Rippeto for sewer damages when he hasn't paid his bill.

Rippeto though claims he was paid up.

"Even if it was true the city council meeting is not the place to discuss my personal business," Rippeto argued. "It just shows the vindictiveness of some of the members of the council that is trying to harm me."

Caddo Valley Mayor Joe Jackson confirmed, Rippeto had paid in full during the time in question. He said before they can comment on the lawsuit though, they plan to consult with the Municipal League.
