NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR - Pulaski County deputies were called to E. Valentine Road and Southeastern Avenue just after 7am Monday when a man said he was robbed of his truck.
The victim, Steven Fenner, say he was riding in his truck with two other men on Valentine Road around 4am. The truck stopped and the two other men got Fenner out of the car and stole everything in his pockets, including his wallet which he said had $900 in cash in it.
Fenner tells deputies he spent the next three hours in a nearby marsh, hiding from the two other men, afraid they were going to come back and kill him. Finally, when it was light, Fenner says he got back onto the road to flag down a passer by to call 911.
In the sheriff’s office report, Fenner says one of the carjacking suspects was a co-worker named David. According to the report, Fenner and David lived with their employer, Jimmy Sullivan, in Lonoke County. Fenner did not know David’s last name nor did he know the address where Sullivan lived.
Fenner says he and David went to Springfield, AR to drop off a boat on Fenner’s property. On they way back, Fenner says David wanted to stop off in North Little Rock to meet with a female friend. When they got to North Little Rock (described in the report as the area of Eureka Gardens and Dorothy Drive) they instead met with a man, described by Fenner as David’s female friend’s brother.
The three of them loaded up into Fenner’s truck, with David driving, going to the Rixie Road area. It was on that drive that the trio ended up on Valentine Road and Fenner was robbed.
Fenner’s truck, a red 2007 Ford F150 was found nearby in the parking lot of the Stonelinks Golf Course.
