BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — A judge has dropped charges against a Blytheville teenager accused in the fatal shooting of a 65-year-old man.

Mississippi County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney Curtis Walker says the charges against the teen were dismissed Monday because of lack of evidence. The youth, now 18, was 17 at the time of the fatal shooting in April of Raymond Warren.

Warren was found dead on his front porch.

Walker says there was no doubt that the teen was at the scene of the fatal shooting — but there wasn't enough evidence to prove that the teen killed Warren.

The teen's attorney, John Bradley, tells The Jonesboro Sun that his client did not kill Warren and he's pleased prosecutors dropped charges.

The case had been set to go to trial this week.

Don't worry gang; God will get it right when the time comes for whoever killed him.

The article didn't say if they are going to find out who killed this man, or is it just a done deal? didn't have enough evidence to charge this young man, and not enough evidence to charge someone else. So sad.

If he truly is innocent, I say great. But if he did do this and covered his ass real good, then may he rot in hell. Hopefully he truly was innocent and wont be in this situation again.

Sounds to me like the young man stood on his feet and didn't deal out. Happens when your not guilty.
