Cheerleaders in Missouri Take Part in 'Kartwheels for Kali'

The "Kartwheels for Kali" campaign is picking up steam in and out of the Natural State.
LITTLE ROCK, AR -- The "Kartwheels for Kali" campaign is picking up steam in and out of the Natural State.

Daniel Allen, the brother of American Idol winner Kris Allen, had his students at Capitol City Cheer in Missouri doing cartwheels in support of Kali Hardig, the young girl battling parasitic meningitis.

FOX16's Kevin Kelly reached out to Daniel last week asking for help supporting Kartwheels for Kali, and he gladly obliged.

The video features the song "Fighters," by Kris Allen.

You can help the Hardig family by taking part in "Kartwheels for Kali," which was organized by a Benton woman after Fox16's Hubert Tate said he would do cartwheels once Kali's feeding tube is removed.

The event will be held Sept. 4 at Salem Elementary, starting at 5:30 p.m.
