LITTLE ROCK, Ark. -- Kids in Central Arkansas will soon have a fun new place to explore.

The finishing touches are being put on the latest addition to the Central Arkansas Library System.

The new Children's Library and Learning Center doesn't open until March 16, but ArkanasMatters.com got a sneak peek on Monday.

The library boasts a theater with floor-to-ceiling windows of the beautiful outdoor waterway, and a greenhouse and kitchen meant to teach kids healthy eating habits.

Library administrators say there was thought behind where the center is located.

"Right off 12th Street, but it's within the War Memorial Park, so this will hopefully be a cornerstone for a children's zone and a renewal for this area," says Central Arkansas Library's Susan Gele.

The center was paid for with bond money from an election in 2007.
