LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The League of United Latin American Citizens says it will donate a portion of Cinco de Mayo ticket sales to a scholarship fund in honor of a University of Arkansas-Little Rock student who was killed last year.

LULAC is hosting an event on May 6 at the Clear Channel Metroplex in Little Rock. The organization says it will donate $1 from every ticket sold to the scholarship fund named for Patricia Guardado.

Guardado was studying international business at UALR when she was killed last October. Guardado was last seen headed to a 9 a.m. calculus class at UALR, but she never arrived on campus.

Her body was found four days later in a pond outside Little Rock. No one has been arrested in her death.

has there been a reward offered for information leading to her killer? Maybe the news channels could reannounce the reward too. It's been some time now and you never know, someone may know something now that they didn't know then and money talks... Scary knowing that someone like that is still roaming free.
