MAYFLOWER, AR - The City of Mayflower is reassuring any residents concerned about the water supply in light of last week's oil spill.

Officials reported today that Mayflower’s drinking water has not been impacted by the spill.

Raymond Arnold, City of Mayflower water superintendent, confirmed that the city’s drinking water is safe and that the city will continue to work with Community Water System to monitor the water supply.

Community Water System supplies Mayflower with water from Greers Ferry Lake, about 65 miles away.
