LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (AP) — The Arkansas State Claims Commission is expected to figure out how much money should go to the family of a 67-year-old man who was shot and killed by a teenager released from the custody of the Department of Health Services' Youth Services Division.

The Commission is slated to determine the damages that should be awarded to the estate of Maurice "Beau" Clark during a meeting on Thursday.

The Commission last month found that the Department of Health Services' Youth Services Division was liable in Clark's 2009 death after a teenager released from the agency's custody shot him.

That teen had been sent to a juvenile-detention center for burglary and theft, but Youth Services officials released him after three months despite objections from several staff members.
