There ya go bke55.Today it was ruled justifiable. He thought because he was a constable that he was above the law and it got him killed. Another crooked cop eliminated from the public. Sorry, but he got what he deserved. I would have shot him too under those circumstances.

First of all.. Some of you guys need to keep your mouths shut when you obviously only know hearsay. The driver of the other car was NOT the constable's daughter, it was the other man's wife. We will never know the complete truth. Tommy Holcomb was a very respectable and honored man and anyone living in or around Pine Bluff knew this, and anyone who was in the hour an a half long line to his visitation can testify to that. Pine Bluff, one of the state's highest crime rate cities thought enough of him to send multiple fire trucks, countless sheriff deputies cars, and police cars to escort his funeral. Anyone in law enforcement or public service is sworn in to protect their citizens and communities and sometimes drastic measures are taken that protect other civilians even if they endanger the suspect. And in this case the suspect is NOT known for good works by any means. This is a tragedy on two parts no matter what the cause. A life was lost and an injury occurred. And by the way, Tommy WAS a sworn police officer as well. If you think they let just anyone be a constable, then you're one of those clueless people that needs to keep your mouth shut. And for Heaven's sake, no matter what the circumstance, a great man was lost, and if you can't respect that then you need to check how good of a person you are. People in the community stood outside to salute the processional for this man. Think of the family that involved and how you would feel if your husband, father, uncle, grandfather, brother, Sunday school teacher, fire captain, or best friend was tragically killed and please just take a moment of silence for this man and his family no matter what your OPINION is on this situation. Think of how your life would change, and how you would deal with a news crew showing up at your house less than 24 hours later, and how you would feel when they made the last call for him over the community fire radio knowing there would be no response. Have a freaking heart people.

The drunks staggering out of the FOP Lodge, Florida police above the law, NLR cops beats a guys face in. Not to mention all the folks who did not have media coverage. I think there is a fundamental problem with the attitude of the police nation wide. The public is seen as the enemy. The Constable probably thought he was gonna teach this guy a lesson, and got himself shot. The man in the hospital is the victim.

I think Fox 16 needs to do some investigating of their own. It's rumored that the "suspect" has been evicted from his home and his child has been kicked out of daycare because of this tragedy. There is clear survelence video that shows Holcomb hitting the "suspect's" window with a gun. If an arm man come to my window, showed me a gun and shot me....you better believe I'm gonna shoot back. There is no reason for people of the public to make this "suspect's" life a living hell. I don't care if he is related to the county judge.

Please report the truth!! The surveillance video tells the true story, but it is not being reported. The constable is Not the hero he is being portrayed to be.

Everyone talks about how bad the city is an how everyone should move away from Pine bluff. But will that really solve the problems an issues that have come upon our city? i am a long time native of pine bluff minus 4 yrs of college out of state and 21 in the army. i moved back to try an make a difference. where i grew up is not the same but my mother still lives at the same address so so do most of the neighbors that helped raise us growing up. i think i personally owe a debt of gratitude to this city. One thing i learned is that anything worth having and admiring is worth fighting for. And im here doing just that.

Move because it's a "bad" place? A community is only what its citizens make it. I noticed the only people who had bad things to say don't even know these gentleman. You don't know what kind of training the constable had. Shut your pie hole until you have all the facts!

Let's see Not a trained, sworn and certified Law Enforcement position, lack of experience resulted in a fatal mistake, Time for Arkansas to grab itself by the hillbilly overall straps and pull itself out of this antiquated thought process and rid the state of this position all together! If a person desires a career in Law Enforcement, then let them apply for the proper training and be screened and held accountable to the citizens they are supposed to serve. Even Volunteer Firefighters get some form of formal training !

There seem to ba alot of misreporting or non reporting of this incident which i will refrain from calling AN ACIDENT. JUST FROM What i have heard an seen. it seems like the constable had a agenda an a not to hidden one at that. can wait for the real story to come to light.
