MORRILTON, Ark. (AP) - Authorities are searching Petit Jean State Park for a Little Rock man - an executive of a major building contractor - following discovery of his car in the parking lot at the park's lodge a day after he was reported missing.

John W. Glasgow, 45, vice president and chief financial officer of CDI Contractors of Little Rock, was reported missing Monday afternoon by his wife, Melinda Glasgow, according to a story on the Web site of Arkansas Business magazine. She made the report after her husband didn't show up at work and didn't respond to calls to his cell phone.

Glasgow's car was found the next day in the Mather Lodge lot in the park atop Petit Jean Mountain south of Morrilton.

Tim Scott, a state Parks and Tourism Department employee designated as spokesman for the search, said more than 200 man-hours had been devoted to finding Glasgow.

According to a Little Rock Police Department report, Glasgow was last seen leaving his home in Little Rock about 5:15 a.m. on Monday. An officer said in the report that Glasgow left "a bank account number and the code to their personal safe on a pad of paper and left it on the table along with some checks to be mailed."

CDI Contractors was founded in 1987 by the department store chain Dillard's Inc. and builder William Edward "Bill" Clark.

The company grew into one of the state's leading construction companies, with annual revenues of more than $300 million. Among projects built by the company were the Clinton Presidential Center at Little Rock, The Lodge at Mount Magazine, and a major expansion of the Alltel Corp. headquarters at Little Rock.
