LITTLE ROCK, AR - Sometime in the overnight hours Thursday, police say someone stole approximately twenty feet of heavy-duty copper wire that powered the ice skating rink.

The wire was approximately three inches in diameter and and authorities estimate it to be valued at over $1,000.

The rink, which is located under the first pavilion in the River Market, was closed for repairs but reopened at 1pm. It is scheduled to be open through January 8.
