Copper wire stolen from Lonoke church

LONOKE, AR - Investigators say someone stole copper wire from an extension being built at New Beginnings Mission Church on Highway 294.

Lt. Jim Kulesa with the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office says the estimated cost to replaced the stripped wiring is $2,500.

The theft is believed to have taken place sometime between Sunday and Wednesday morning.

Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious or have information regarding the theft, is asked to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (501) 676-3000.

2500.00 to replace and they will get very little to sell it.The laws need to change and big time this kind of crap has went on long enough.

The copper, along with the other copper that has been stolen around Lonoke County, will end up at a salvage yard that does not do the proper paperwork.
