RUSSELLVILLE, AR – The swim beach at Piney Bay Park on Lake Dardanelle has been reopened by the Army Corps of Engineers.

The swimming area was closed on May 24th after routine testing found “higher than acceptable” levels of E. coli were found. The Corps believes that high temperatures and lack of rainfall were contributing factors to the problem.

Testing will continue by the Corps to make sure E. coli levels remain acceptable at the swim beach.
