Corrections Department holds horse public auction

More than 100 people bid on horses auctioned off by the Arkansas Corrections Department Saturday. Leaders put 82 of the agency's 450 horses on sale.

at least its money not coming from taxes paid in. n they are growing their own food for the inmates n the horses. so they r trying to become self sufficient n not as dependent on tax payers. they have a good stock of horses with good bloodlines. n yes thank goodness its not 450 more inmates to take care of.

Feeding and caring for 450 horses is cheaper than 450 more COs.

Shoot yeah....preparing for a job working with horses. We have been feeding 450 horses so that inmates can feel all warm and fuzzy. 450 horses seems like an awful lot of horses for "secutity"? Weird
