Cotton Bowl officials couldn't be more pleased with a matchup between Arkansas and Kansas State.

They were quick to snatch up the two schools after the BCS bowl games made their selections.

The Razorbacks weren't eligible because two teams from the SEC had already qualified for BCS games — LSU will play Alabama for the national title. But the Wildcats were snubbed by the Sugar Bowl, which favored a matchup between Virginia Tech and Michigan.

That was just fine with Cotton Bowl officials, who remember more than 50,000 fans traveled south from Kansas the last time the Wildcats played in the game in 2001.

The cotton bowl (non-caps intended) is boring. Jerry Jones is a tool. This fan will not be watching.

If 50,000 Kansas drive down for this game there will be 50,000 disappointed fans making the long drive North after the game. WPS Go Hogs!
