Court to determine if PTSD is a defense for murder

No one denies the defendant, an Afghanistan war veteran, shot and killed his girlfriend. The question here: is his combat related stress a plausible defense for murder?

This is just another way to try to avoid being prosecuted for a crime. They are hoping that the justice system will bow down to them due to a "military based disorder". Sad part is, our justice system will probably cater to their needs and thus opening a door for others to do this. Such a joke.

no it should not be a defense for murder. PTSD, sure it's unfortunate that our soldiers can't come home and live normal lives b/c they may suffer from it but they're not all killing their wives either. I don't think it's a very good defense but rather a lame excuse.
