LITTLE ROCK, AR - A body found in a Sweet Home pond, identified as UALR student Patricia Guardado. It's investigators' last known lead in finding her killer in the past ten days.
"Look at his tactics," said criminal profiler Glenn Owen. "How good he was. Broad daylight. Nobody saw anything. Nobody heard anything. No surveillance cameras picked up anything. He's good."
Owen isn't working this case, has more than 30 years of experience as a criminal investigator. He believes this person has done this before and will do it again.
"The organized killer studies police tactics," said Owen. "He knows the type of evidence they're looking for."
Which is why Owen thinks Guardado's abductor chose this parking lot close to UALR.
"He asks for directions and then boom. Before she knows it she's knocked unconscious."
Perhaps most disturbing, Owen believes Guardado's killer is keeping close.
"He could have very well been at the vigil," said Owen. "Organized offenders will volunteer for searches, they will go to a vigil. They like to be involved and keep up with the investigation."
Owen admits he's been wrong before. He has a track record of about 70%. But when it comes to a case like this, he warns everyone to be cautious.
