LITTLE ROCK, AR - How would you like to save some money and donate to a good cause? You have only one day left to make donations to a charity and use it as a tax write-off.

Sunday, several people dropped off donations at Goodwill.

And, if you are looking for a good excuse to clean out your closet Goodwill will give you one.

"The weather has hurt us a little bit for the donations, so we do need you out there for the donations, so we would love to see you out here today and tomorrow to drop those donations off," says Tony Phillips with Goodwill.

Monday is also the last day to drop off donations and use them as a tax write-off. This weekend, several people helped fill up a truck at Goodwill with gently used clothes and household items.

"There's a lot of stuff I've been needing to donate this year, and I thought I'd do it before the end of the year so I know it'll go to good use," says Celina Glasier.

"We take anything. We take electronics, if you haven't worn a suit in a year. Anything you haven't used for a year, we'll take that," says Phillips.

Glasier brought books, electronics, clothes, picture frames and lots of shoes to Goodwill. She knows with her receipt that her donations will help her with her taxes, and also help others in Arkansas.

"Everybody needs to come out and donate. Especially do it before the end of the year for your taxes. Because it helps a lot for your taxes, plus, it goes to a good cause," she says.

Goodwill will stay open until six Monday night to take your donations.

I must admit, the Goodwill gave me a receipt for way more than I would have gotten at a garage sale, so instead of wasting a day out on the driveway making 600 bucks, I got a tax write off for 2 thousand. Also made a nice donation to the Humane Society down here, rather give it to them than to Osama.
