LITTLE ROCK, AR - Lights, camera, car sales.

"This is the way the car industry is going," Landers Toyota Internet Director Jason Whitlock said.

A new eBay photo studio at Landers Toyota is putting the local car dealership on the worldwide map.

"People don't have time these days,” Whitlock said. “That's what the internet does for us. It speeds everything up."

With less people on the lot, the dealership is going global, turning to the internet to make sales.

And with the amount of time these cars spend on the lot, they're posting the pictures as fast as they can.

"If we could sell everyone that bought a car in Little Rock a car, then we would be doing just fine and we would love to do that," Whitlock said.

New or used, the internet team at Landers takes pictures of every angle of the car in it's new state-of-the-art studio - and ships the cars to buyers throughout the world.

"It makes them look a lot better,” Whitlock said. “They shine. It can show imperfections which is great."

The only problem - most want to see, touch, and drive a huge purchase like a new car before clicking "buy". So Whitlock makes sure his team gets every detail up online.

"We don't want to hide anything,” Whitlock said.
”We like to show what it is."

The internet team at Landers says with the amount of time you save without going lot to lot, the online option is worth it.

"You could spend hours and hours going to different dealerships and looking for different cars," Whitlock said.

The best sales on the web? Unique cars for specific buyers like this Toyota FJ Cruiser. Since few were manufactured, it's a perfect way for the more specific buyer to shop.

I didn't retire at age 55 being stupid, Two things to remember-One, an automobile is NOT an investment, it is a pure liability, no matter what brand or cost. Two, get yourself in a position to pay cash and stay away from monthly payments, Yes-this will mean sacrifice and patience but in the end, it reduces the cost of that transportation.

As far as saving when buying on eBay goes: Use a site like Ebuyersedge.com to set up saved searches. You get an e-mail whenever a matching item is listed. Especially good for "Buy It Now"s that are priced right. Try a misspelling search site like Typojoe.com to hopefully find some deals with items that have main keywords misspelled in the title. Other interested buyers might not ever see them. If you see an auction that you want to bid on, use a sniping service such as Hidbid.com to bid for you. It'll bid in the last few seconds, helping you to save money and avoid shill bidding.
