BLYTHEVILLE, Ark. (AP) — Authorities say the death of a Mississippi man who was found near an Arkansas highway over the weekend has been ruled a homicide.

Officials have identified the victim as 56-year-old Robert Hudson of Glen, Miss.

Officers responded to the area of Arkansas Highway 239 and the Interstate 55 service road after a motorist called about a body lying off the roadway Sunday morning. The Blytheville Courier News reports Hudson was working temporarily in Blytheville.

Police Chief Ross Thompson says the department is following several leads. He asked that anyone with information about case contact police at 870-762-0400 or send him an email at chiefrossthompson(at)blythevillepd.org.
