BENTON, AR - Benton police raided a house on West Woodlawn street on May 8, and arrested three people for allegedly making counterfeit bills - Jonathon Cox, Savannah Richardson, and Amy Marie Wise.
Police say they confiscated a computer, three printers, and 41 fake bills - mostly 10's and 20's.
"They weren't real good. That's all I can say,” Lt. Scotty Hodges of the Benton Police Department said. “They weren't great."
What makes this case unique though is how Police found out about it.
"More often than not, we locate them after they've purchased a product and most of the time we can't find where it came from," Lt. Hodges said.
Different story this time around though. Police say the suspects ordered delivery, had the food dropped off at their house, and paid for it with counterfeit bills. One phone call later from the restaurant to police – and the case was closed.
"They made this very easy," Hodges said.
