LITTLE ROCK, AR - Deputies arrested a man and charged him with battery after they say he broke windows out of his ex-girlfriend's home, pushed her, then stabbed her son when he tried to intervene.
The incident took place in the 4000 block of Slinker Road. Justine Goforth told deputies that she was awakened by her ex-boyfriend, 53-year-old Lawrence Colclough, beating on her door. She said that when she didn't answer, he broke out her bedroom windows.
Goforth said that she went outside to confront Colclough and he pushed her. Her 25-year-old son, Leavearn Roby, tried to intervene and Colclough attacked him with a knife, according to Goforth.
Roby was taken to the hospital to be treated for several cuts. His injuries were not believed to be life-threatening.
Deputies found Colclough at a hotel on Highway 365 and arrested him. They found a knife and saw dried blood on his hands, according to the arrest report. He told deputies that he was attacked by Roby and acted in self-defense.
