LONOKE, AR – The second suspect
accused of participating in the baseball bat beating of an elderly man was arrested Tuesday.
The Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office says Jason Kendall was found at a home on Highway 139 West and was taken into custody without incident.
The Sheriff’s Office says that Kendall was identified as the one who was hitting a
69-year-old man with a bat at a service station near the intersection of Hwy 31 and 38, east of Cabot.
The victim suffered a broken sinus cavity, bruises on his back, and a bruised tongue.
Kendall faces charges of aggravated assault and 2nd degree battery.
42-year-old Darrell Dewayne Eddy was arrested a week after the incident. He is also charged with aggravated assault and 2nd degree battery.
