Deputy resigns after hunting citation received on duty

he is just like all the other officers in perry co. but the only thing between him and the other local and state is the he dont drive drunk i know several of them in perry co. drink and drive and i have seen it with my own eyes why dont they not get in trouble for that and that includes state police to.

@ huntingal.....Although I agree with your statement that we should let this young man get on with his life, I disagree with the rest of your comment...you said "dont judge people, its not your job"..and so it says in the Bible...but do you know the next verse? Well, the next verse goes like this..ahem....BUT IF YOU MUST JUDGE, JUDGE WITH THE SAME JUDGEMENT YOU WOULD BE METE WITH....that being said, I do agree that we all make mistakes in life and are subject to JUDGEMENT by God and man also..how harshly we judge this young man is the same degree of judgement we will be met with in death...did he make a mistake? Yes...does he deserve to be crucified for that mistake? No...but he should and will be judged...make no mistake, I agree with you that nobody is perfect...but aren't all these self rightous people on here assuming that he killed this deer for sport? How do we know that he didn't kill it because he knew a family that was without food and had young mouths to feed? @ Tractorman...apparently you know this young man? How many Deputies do you know on a personal basis in Perry County? I dont mean on a seeing them on the street basis, I mean on a go to their house and BBQ basis? Dont you think you're JUDGING the other Deputies a little harshly by stating that this Deputy "is one of the best Perry County ever had."? What does that say about the ones that are still there? Just my random thoughts...feel free to disect and comment on any or all..that is all

I agree with Tractor...don't judge people, its not your job, only one can be the judge and that will come later in life. Everyone makes errors in life that is how we learn and we have to pay the conquences for our own actions. I'm so glad that so many of you have "Never" made a mistake or errored because you are all "SO PERFECT", get a life and let this man get own with his!!!!

Gee, First of all this is not news, Second give everybody on this forum, that have never every broken the law or did anything wrong a big soapbox to stand on.

Guess he learned that the position of a law enforcement officer doesn't exempt one from also being required to follow those same laws one is enforcing. Bad choices always have a way of making you pay !

AGFC should seize his patrol car and weapon. LOL Thatd be funny as hell. He made a stupid decision and it cost him his job. I dont feel sorry for him one bit. As a member of law enforcement, he should be held accountable for his actions. Im proud of the AGFC Officer that made this deputy pay for his actions. A lot of times in small towns, these things get over looked.

Aight....climb off Guards Back right now...as i have said here numerous time's...it never hurts to have your name or situation mentioned to God...is the job open i'll move to perry county for it

what does it matter the officer was from or where he went to school.all I can say is that he was one of best officers that perry county ever had..just saying
