Dog dies in NLR house fire

A family of 4 was able to get out of their house unharmed after it caught fire Thursday night.

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR – A family of 4 was able to get out of their house unharmed after it caught fire Thursday night.

The North Little Rock Fire Department says the family dog died in the fire.

NLRFD says the fire started in the laundry area and quickly destroyed the house. Firefighters were access the home from the rear because of downed power lines. The storage building behind the house was also a total loss.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
