Was this dog in a fenced-in area or was it roaming free? I care about my dogs, that's why I don't let them run around freely and unsupervised.

Alot of us have dogs now just for warning us. They didn't need to spray this dog. They knew dogs were there. As much as the bills are they SHOULD give ample warning. NO doubt this dog was picked because of the breed-mix. Guess what more people are bit by cocker-spaniels and german-shepherds. Electric companies commonly send out "estimated" bills all the time. Which they should have done with this case.

Something just doesnt sound right here. Mr. Craig stated there were 5 dogs outside.You havent denied owning 5 dogs, but say all 5 were not outside. My neighbor had to get rid of a dog because they were told 4 was the limit in Little Rock. Another thing, three days into it you are now just bringing up that your child came in contact with the spray. That would have been my first comment! Again I am sorry that he sprayed your pet and hope things work out.

You're gas bill will come due every month. The tech has a job to do just like the water and the light companies do. All of us who live on our own know these guys are gonna read the meter each month. So please use a little common sence and make their job doable without haveing to worry about you're pets trying to harm them. The tech should'nt have to knock on you're door to beg you to make you're meter accessable. I'm sorry you're dog got sprayed but I must say..... If I were that guy. I probobly would have sprayed him too and not thaught twice about it. In short... If you don't want it to happen again... Put you're pets up and figure out a way to make you're meter accessable to the tech.

OK Everyone, heres the deal, there were not 5 dogs outside. We have a dog that we rescued after hurricane Katrina that was inside. All of our pets are rescues and all of them have been through some sort of trauma.Sonny is severly traumatized now! The story that was reported left out alot of the details and there are alot of things missing. The only thing that we are trying to figure out is why the technician didnt tell Kevin that he sprayed our dog when he asked them. A friend of mine got it to the news station and my husband is the one that happened to be home when it happened so he was the one that they interviewed. I know not everyone feels the same way about their pets as we do and everyone has different opinions but you all don't know the whole story and the point Im trying to make is that, why couldn't they send out a courtesy letter like Entergy does? Hopefully we can change their policy and noone else will have to go through this. It's not about "whining" as you say or my husband being less of a man as you are implying that he is just because he cares about our dogs and standing up for whats's right. Our sons face was on fire when he got near Sonny too and he's a child! Had the tech just told Kevin than that wouldn't have happened. I want to know how you guys would feel if your child got pepper spray on their face after your dog went through pain for way to long for a situation that could have been avoided. I hope that this gives you a little more perception into the story and that you show a bit more compassion.

When you use pepper spray on a dog. You can ruin the dog. If it is a hunting dog or a working dog. I have seen a police dog ruined because it got a dose of pepper spray by accident. The police had to get rid of the dog. Thanks

Its a shame a dog had to be sprayed, but this utility worker probably deals with numerous issues like this daily. If he was making a habit of spraying dogs without just cause, I'm sure he wouldnt be working there.
