First of all the kids medical expenses were paid by the school insurance so the kid was not out of anything except being able to continue to be on the team. The kid knew it was an accident (he texted the coach telling him it was an accident) even though his father pushed the incident in order to make some money from the school and coach. This was a non incident that made it to the courts because someone wanted to get some money out of it. If you look closely into the whole thing you would see gread motivated the whole thing. The kids dad is also a coach at the school and has had some problems with the way he treats kids himself and has a jealous bone for the baseball coach because the players respect and like the baseball coach more than they do him. There was a lot of things that lead to this court case that were motivated by something other then a kid got hit by a ball. Maybe you should check out the whole thing instead of worrying about an accident.......and that was all it was an accident. By the way I thought coaches were like families at a school....ask yourself why this didnt follow that idea. If this happened to my child I would go to the baseball coach and discuss it man to man. Why didnt this happen? The coach was exonerated and rightly so. This shouldnt of been in court and what type of idiot P A would waste time with this.

Sorry for the kid's injury but this was the right call by the courts. There was nothing intentional here. On the other hand, if he really wants to do the right thing, the coach should pay for medical expenses.
