Downed Power Line Gets Attention of FBI

The FBI is launching an investigation into a downed power line in Cabot. Investigators say someone intentionally cut it.

CABOT, AR -- The FBI wants to know who cut a power line in Cabot.

It happened early Wednesday morning off of Highway 321.

According to investigators, someone climbed the 100 foot tower, cut the line with a saw or some other sharp object, and then removed bolts at the base of the tower!

It didn't cause a power outage, but utility crews closed the street to make repairs.

That affected local businesses.

"It slowed down everything so we kind of just sat in here all day," said Ashley Rue, a store clerk at AT&T and Apex Communications.

If you have any information on this -- you are asked to call the local FBI unit at (501) 221-9100.
