Car hit by train on Forbing and University

LITTLE ROCK, AR – Traffic on Forbing Road, near South University in Little Rock, was closed for a time Thursday after a car was hit by a train.

Little Rock Police say that a driver on Forbing was trying to beat the train and drove around several cars and the crossing arm to do so. The driver was taken to the hospital with very serious injuries. Police say if the driver survives his injuries he will be charged.

reading the comments ... personally know the people involved and can truthfully say that people are making comments on things that are truly out of line. someone said something about him suing the railroad, with his life hanging in the balance right now facing permanent brain damage he won't be suing anybody. however, his family is suffering beause of this. you never know ... u might be next.

This not only affects the driver, but also the train crew who hit him. I wish the best for the driver, but the sad thing is he will probably find a money hungry attorney to try and find fault with union pacific and put the poor guys on the train who were just making an honest living for their family through the wringer.

Well I hate that he got hurt but atleast he's the one paying the price for his stupitity instead of some innicent driver/person or people that were minding their own.

The comments here are crazy.One would think no matter how you people get off on laughing at others,when there are serious injuries.All bs should be set a side.Prayers going out to the victim and fam.
