SWEET HOME, Ark. (AP) — A 79-year-old woman's report that $30,000 was missing from her house in Sweet Home led Pulaski County deputies to arrest her housemate.
But not for the missing money. Deputies arrested 51-year-old Hezekiah Satterfield on Friday after they found out he was wanted for not registering as a sex offender.
When deputies searched Satterfield, they found almost $1,700 and a pair of dice in his pockets. Satterfield told deputies he won the money gambling. Deputies also found 42 grams of crack cocaine and a digital scale among Saterfield's belongings.
Satterfield was charged with drug possession and was being held Sunday on $32,500 bond in the Pulaski County Jail. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer and no court appearance was listed for him.
