SWEET HOME, Ark. (AP) — A 79-year-old woman's report that $30,000 was missing from her house in Sweet Home led Pulaski County deputies to arrest her housemate.

But not for the missing money. Deputies arrested 51-year-old Hezekiah Satterfield on Friday after they found out he was wanted for not registering as a sex offender.

When deputies searched Satterfield, they found almost $1,700 and a pair of dice in his pockets. Satterfield told deputies he won the money gambling. Deputies also found 42 grams of crack cocaine and a digital scale among Saterfield's belongings.

Satterfield was charged with drug possession and was being held Sunday on $32,500 bond in the Pulaski County Jail. It wasn't clear if he had a lawyer and no court appearance was listed for him.

this is a heads up for all of us who have elderly relatives .. if we love them we need to get in their business, have them get that money out of the mason jar in the back of the closet and put it in the bank.

She most likely saved all her life and wasn't a big spender.
