customers should not have to pay it's not their fault. choulk it up to the cost of doing business, a little less for the share holdes. besides if they kept the power line right of ways clear the outage problems would be minimal

My bill still has an ice recovery charge from the last storm.... why do I have to pay for them to clean up after a storm???? Shouldn't they have insurance to cover something like this????

"Cost recovery proposal" equals rate hike for the customers. I understand that the power companies were put out of pocket a lot of money and this was a inconvenience, but it was also a inconvenience to its customers. Do the customers get to prepare a "cost recovery proposal" and ask their employers to pay them more so they can compensate for the rate hike? Nope. A lot of people had to pay out of pocket for lodging (for kids and elderly especially) and a lot of people lost food during the outages. Not many have recovered the losses because they dont have someone to hike the rates on.
