TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) — The attorney for two former followers of convicted evangelist Tony Alamo is being allowed to pursue the sale of a portion of properties once held by an Alamo assistant.

The attorney for Spencer Ondrisek and Seth Calagna is trying to collect $1.5 million each man was awarded in a federal lawsuit against Alamo aide John Kolbek that accused Kolbek of beating them.

The Texarkana Gazette reports that Miller County Circuit Judge Griffin nullified deeds that transferred Kolbek's 20 percent interest in properties in Fouke and Fort Smith to other members of Alamo's ministry. The transfers were made after Ondrisek and Calagna's lawsuit was filed.

Kolbek died in January.

Alamo is serving a 175 year prison sentence after being convicted of taking young girls across state lines for sex.
