SEARCY, Ark. (AP) — An address by former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice will conclude the 2011-2012 American Studies Institute Distinguished Lecture Series at Harding University in Searcy.
Rice will discuss "Looking Back and Moving Forward to a Stronger America" Thursday night.
She is a Thomas and Barbara Stephenson Senior Fellow on Public Policy at the Hoover Institution and a professor at Stanford University, where she served as provost from 1993 to 1999.
Rice became secretary of state in January 2005 after serving as national security adviser to President George W. Bush for four years.
She also has written "No Higher Honor: A Memoir of My Years in Washington."
Tickets are free for students, faculty and staff and $15 to the general public.
