FDA issues Korean shellfish advisory

LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Food and Drug Administration issued a warning Tuesday concerning shellfish from the Republic of Korea.

The FDA says all fresh and fresh frozen molluscan shellfish from Korea should be considered from an unapproved source. In addition, the FDA considers all fresh and fresh frozen molluscan shellfish and all products subsequently derived from fresh and fresh frozen molluscan shellfish from the Republic of Korea to be adulterated.

It is not yet known if there will be a recall of the shellfish, those details are pending.

The advisory comes after Korean shippers were removed from the Interstate Certified Shellfish Shippers List.

Next time you buy fish....any fish from walmart please look at the label...Its from China! including salmon.
