LITTLE ROCK, AR -- Through a Freedom of Information request, Little Rock School District leaders handed over a letter from the associate superintendent of human resources, saying Chiquetta Plummer's services as a substitute teacher "will no longer be utilized by the district."

With that letter, they included Plummer's handwritten account of what happened.

In it, she says the regular teacher didn't leave any work for the ninth grade math students, so she told them to quietly talk among themselves.  She recalls a group of five students forming a circle just as she picked up the newspaper to start reading it.

She admits she became preoccupied, and when she looked up, she saw one female student dancing on one of the male students.

She told them to sit down, and she turned to check her Google and Yahoo! mail accounts.

Later, she noticed the dancing girl became angry and hit one of the boys.

Plummer says she told the students to sit down, and five minutes later, class ended.

I just can't let go of this yet. I didn't see anything on the supposed Facebook page that should bar someone from working in a school. But my advice to those who may need to get a job or stay in one is to not put pictures on Facebook that some people will be likely to see as offensive. The apology I'd like to see is one from the adult who is supposed to support the lapdancer who got a teacher fired. Whenever a teacher is fired for something piddly due to a student troublemaker, then that encourages troublemaker students at the school to make a game out of trying to get other teachers fired, thus disclipine becomes worse. Some adults who send kids to school encourage a kid to act crazy and cause trouble anyway - especially if that can help with getting crazy-pay from the government. School administrators, and adults who send kids to school, should stop being enablers.

Dear momstheword: Don't believe everything that comes out of a computer! I have some interesting stories about that! I worked as a substitute in many schools in Pine Bluff, White Hall, Hot Springs, Little Rock, and Jacksonville, but I also worked as a certified science teacher. Science teachers tend to be skeptics by-nature.

randalbean....why I am trying to understand your point of view on this matter, you need to realize that just because you were a "model sustitute teacher" this woman was not!!!! I don't know if you have ever heard or seen Facebook, but look her up so you can see what kind of woman this really is. I've been to her page and withh what I saw added with the incident in the classroom I say this person should have NEVER been a substitute teacher.

Some of you obviously have never worked in a school, and don't know what you're talking about. If the classroom has an intercom sometimes it takes a long time to get a response from the other end. A teacher isn't supposed to leave a classroom of students alone while going to the office. A teacher isn't supposed to touch a student. What's a teacher supposed to do - use mind control? By the time a future prostitute does a lapdance in class, the deed has already been done. When students know there won't be serious consequences for being that out-of-control, then the real problem is with the principal or a higher school administrator. Just watching students won't prevent a lapdance in a school where discipline has broken down. You might be shocked by what students will do and say in front of a very observant teacher. It's a shame that a teacher who is wrongfully-fired can be named and talked about in the news media, without the teacher granting permission for that, while the identities of under-age student troublemakers is supposed to be kept confidential, by law.

This is just a simple case of poor judgement on the school for hiring such a loser of a sub, the sub being to lazy to stop this and probably dancing with them, lack of parenting, and just overall assinine activity.

Amberjack - If the teacher's name was Brittany she would be sleeping with her students.
