Capt. Jones, although I did not know you personally, I salute you in your 31 plus years of dedicated service. A person that gives 31 years of service to a fire department truly must love his career. During 31 years as a firefighter, I am certain you had encountered some extreme dangerous situations that were life threatening for not only you but your fellow firefighters, but each time you went out, you came back after putting your life on the line. It saddens me that your life and career came to an abrupt ending due to some coward that would intentionally do harm to anyone, much less to those helping his family. My heart goes out to your family and the families of the other two that were injured. Your hard work and dedication will never be forgotten. May you rest in peace.
