none of these lawsuits will make it to trial they will be settled out of court at the expence of the taxpayer.

BUTCH...I didn't intentionally AVOID anything. Bad cops are the exception, not the rule. Cops still don't need to be intimidated into not doing their job for fear of going to jail for life. I would hate for my life to be at stake and be afraid to defend myself because cops are assumed to be trigger happy. They go on multiple calls a day where more than two men are armed and step out of their cars. They must have nerves of iron. I NEVER DID GET the knack for running two sets of logs...just pulled off and waited if they were checking log books hahahah...and after I quit driving I went to FL a lot...drove down on Friday and back on Sunday...called that my EAST COAST TURNAROUND. While driving a truck, I felt like the 10 hr. limit was stupid because if I could do more and not even drink coffee or take drugs, it couldn't be that hard...After all, coast to coast driving 14 hrs a day then being down for unloading and reloading then driving again a couple of days at 14 hrs. seems reasonable to me. And yes, I have driven 22 hrs at a time, not very often...didn't like it...16 is my limit safely beginning about 4 a.m..

Just bein' funny pat; I'm not really a MCP - I'll open doors for women, let them go ahead of me in line, and address them in terms of respect; way I was brought up. Butch is right of course; many think they are above the law; my ex brother-in-law in Phoenix never drove the speed limit when he was off duty. And my younger brother was an MP; he told me some of his buddies would take weed from dependents and military, then let them go, and the MP's would keep the weed for themselves. But there are good ones' out there too Butch; like the motorcycle officer in Tucson that stopped me while smoking a joint; he knew I was burning one, but chose to ignore it, and gave me a warning for expired tags and let me go on my way. Same with an El Paso, TX officer at a license and insurance checkpoint. I had just lit one up, and went around a corner in a residential area, and there they were! I put the j in my mouth and started chewing. Yes, it burned. Car filled with smoke; rolled the window down, he looked at me, told me to go on my way. itsjustme; You are so right! Maybe it's time we enacted laws making the people that breed criminals pay for their stays at our expense. Sounds like a good idea to me!
