Fatal accident on I-40 near mile 127

CONWAY, AR – Arkansas State Police are reporting one man is dead after a three vehicle accident on the eastbound I-40 in Conway Monday afternoon.

Police say the accident happened at the 127 mile marker and the interstate is currently shut down. A Chrysler minivan was reportedly traveling westbound on the I-40 when it crossed the median and hit another car head on. A third car then slammed into the other two.

According to State Police, it is unclear how long the interstate will be closed.

protector20 I AM THE WIFE OF THE MAN WHO WAS KILLED IN THE ACCIDENT. IT WAS NOT ON PURPOSE, AND HE HAD JUST GOT HIS LEVELS CHECKED THAT PREVIOUS THURSDAY, AND IT WAS A FREAK ACCIDENT. THERE ARE SO MANY NICE COMMENTS THAT PPL HAVE WROTE AND I THANK THEM FOR THAT AND THEN THERES NEGATIVE PPL LIKE YOU THAT HAS TO SAY STUPID BULL LIKE THAT. How are the babies and mama? One of the babies will turn 3 the day before mine turns 3. I couldn't imagine the loneliness that he is going through. My thoughts and prayers are going out to all that was involved in this accident.

Althoughvery tragic, ANYONE with a history of seizures SHOULD NOT BE DRIVING!!

No matter happened it was tragic. A wife has been left widowed and children without a father. My thoughts and prayers go out to this family. God Bless

Joshua Probst was my friend he died in this wreck i hope for the best for his family and he has seizures so that may(probably) be what happened there very random and rare but there bad seizures but please pray for his wife in the hospital (critical) and 2 babies in the hospital too.. R.I.P. Josh..

Guess they will shut I-40 down to one lane now so they can put up one of those cable fences in the median like they have done everywhere else.

I can think of numerous medical possiblities. Low blood sugar, V tach, aneurysm, severe vertigo....etc. All these could happen to someone healthy and young. I just pray for all the families involved in this.

didn't think of that one cmducks! very possible. and at 65-70 mph, you can't just apply brakes and stop quickly! regardless of the reason, this is just tragic.

How bout a left front tire blowout? That would be very hard to catch control of. GOD bless all involved.
