Typical ignorant political thinking. "They (Fayetteville Shale) are making money, I want my part of it too." In the meantime, the ignorant political thinking and greed will piss the companies off, force them out of the state along with the jobs and the millions of revenue. Sheffield, shut your hole and go away.

Arkansas is blessed to have the jobs created by Fayetteville shale. Nelson sounds like a typical politician!! TAX AND SPEND!!! I have family members that work for the gas companies. They are hoping Nelson doesn't succeed. They will probably lose their job, if that happens. HE IS PATHETIC!!!

mikesmothers- Nelson made 600,000 a yr when he was ceo of ARKLA gas. He had that company so messed up Mcmaclarty had to take over and streighin it out. He screwed Arkla out of millions. They had and article in the AR Gazette one time about who was the highest paid execcative in AR. Well guess who was at the top of the list. Nelson, plus he had 250,000 in stock a year. He needs to shut the heck up.

Drilling for oil and gas is my life. I have over 38 years in the drilling industry. It put my wife and 2 daughters through college. Paid my house and land and toys. If Arkansans are willing to have them drill for gas here, this will last for 80 to 100 years at least. Always finding new zones and pockets. Never know where the next one will be. May be on your land. I do recamend if drilling is close to your property, check the direction of the hole. They could be drilling under your property.

How much did Nelson pay when he was involved in the gas and oil industry? Looks like he has been left behind in this little money maker and he is wanting everyone else to pay. I say p--- on Shefield Nelson.
