CONWAY, AR – Police arrested a Conway man Tuesday on two felony counts of animal cruelty related to allegations he beat two dogs to death with a baseball bat.

Conway Police say Michael Woole had previously told detectives that he never hit the dog or caused it to bleed, he only used a shovel to “usher” the dog into another pen.

Police believe the dogs to be dead because they say Woole never showed the dogs nor told them where they were.

When Animal Welfare officers arrived on scene they took pictures of the pen and surrounding area and found blood.

FOX16 News went to the home of Woole's in-laws.  They didn't want to do an on-camera interview but say they don't believe the accusations against Woole.

"I'm pretty certain they're deceased.  From what the witness stated, the dogs were limp when he put them in the back of the vehicle," said David Mitchell, one of the animal welfare officers who discovered the scene.

I agree with Someone. I have known this man for 18 years. He wouldn't hurt anyone or anything. Has anyone thought about what the dog might have done to him? Did they attacked him? Here's another question for you, if a pitbull turned on you, what would you do? What if it Had been a woman accused instead? I always thought people were innocent until proven guilty. I just "love" everyone Christian attitude. And here I thought we lived in the bible belt.

@someone, I have known many people for many years, and one thing I've learned about them all....... you never know what they are capable of doing or when they'll do it. People hide behind false doors everyday of their lives and the next thing you know, the truth hits the fan.

I hope when he goes to prison that the others find out what he did and do the same to him.

He should recieve the same treatment he gave the dog. If a man(and I say that lightly)will do that to an animal, he will do it to a person as well!
