LITTLE ROCK, AR – Officials from the Little Rock Fire Department responded to a fire at an apartment complex Friday afternoon.

According to Captain Weaver of the Little Rock Fire Department, the fire took place at Westpark Meadows Apartments, located at 1701 Westpark Drive in Little Rock. The fire destroyed one unit and heavily damaged another. Two additional apartments received smoke damage.

Twelve people in four families were displaced by the blaze. The apartment management and the Red Cross are working to find places for the displaced residents to stay.

There have been no reports of injuries, and there is no word yet on the cause of the fire.

The damages to the building and contents are estimated to be around $265,000.
