JACKSONVILLE, AR – An abandoned building on School Road in Jacksonville burned Friday afternoon creating a thick, black column of smoke that could be seen for miles.

Firefighters were able to contain the blaze but the building is a total lost. We are told some nearby storage building also received some damage.

The Jacksonville fire department said they have concluded that the fire was started by work crew using a torch to cut out pipe.

There were no injuries.

Let me guess, the workers that cause this werent licensed, bonded or insured. If I was the property owner, I'd sue the hell out of them. They should have let this fire burn into the hood and run out the roaches. It could have improved Jacksonville.

Somehow this combination of posts seems a bit humorous. Admonishing people not to obtstruct the fire dept by gawking at the fire and then the next post "By the way I've got great pictures. How do I post them?" Makes it sound enticing to turn down Hospital Dr. and see the fire. By the way. How did you get those pictures? Hospital drive??
