Fireworks stands close in Benton due to burn ban

Even though Stefan Jones purchased a business permit, she can't sell because of a Benton city ordinance that requires fireworks vendors to shut down when a burn ban is in place.

I'm happy with the decision - too many children get seriously hurt due to playing with fireworks.

guard: They normally do a fireworks show at the old airport. With Family Fest being in Benton this year I am sure they had one planned to go along with it. Due to the burn ban, fireworks may not happen this year.

Benton, Why don't you have a fireworks show like Little Rock for all the people to see.
